Michael R. Kangas Attorney

Michael is a shareholder at Baumann Kangas Estate Law. He concentrates his practice in the areas of trust and estate litigation, probate administration and guardianship law.  Michael representative clients include trustees, beneficiaries, personal representatives, guardians, and those defending or challenging documents such as wills, trusts, beneficiary designations, and deeds.

Michael is active in the Florida Bar’s Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section and is a member of the Probate Law and Procedure Committee, the Trust and Estate Litigation Committee, and the Guardianship Law and Advanced Directives Committee.  He is also a member of the Florida Bar’s Probate Rules Committee (2016-2019).  Michael is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association (HCBA) and was the Co-Chair of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the HCBA for 2014-2016.

Accomplishments

Achieved the AV Preeminent rating® by Martindale-Hubbell.  The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings system is based on the confidential reviews of a lawyer by his peer attorneys and by judges. The system evaluates lawyers and law firms in the United States and Canada, and the ratings process takes approximately four months.
